A property with online booking switched on has its own page, with the address your team gives you. A guest opens it on a phone, sees which rooms are free for their dates and what they cost, holds a room for a short time, or asks for a table at one of your restaurants. The page uses the same rooms, rates and rules as your front desk, so the price and the availability a guest sees are the ones your desk would give.
What a guest can do
A guest picks check-in and check-out dates and the number of adults and children, then checks the rooms. Each room type shows Free or Full, and a quote shows the total and the rate plan with its policy. Nothing is cached: each time the page is opened or the dates change, the answer is read again.
A guest can hold a room by giving a name and a mobile number. A hold is not a confirmed booking. The room is held until the property confirms it or releases it. If it is not confirmed, the hold is released by the next day's check at the latest, and you can release it sooner from the front desk. A guest can hold at most two rooms at a time, and up to 14 nights in one hold; the property can cap online holds as a whole.
If your restaurant takes table bookings, the page also shows a table form: an outlet, a date, a time, a party size and a name and phone. The restaurant then confirms the table. A guest does not choose a table; your floor team assigns one.
What the page never does
The page takes no card and no payment. It does not show another guest's name, booking or bill, and it never shows a rate you have not set. If a room cannot be priced for the dates, the page says so instead of showing a price. Any advance is taken at your desk, not on this page.
Turning it on
The page appears only when Hotel & stays is switched on for your business and your property has its public address set up by Finocket. Until then the address answers as not found, and nothing about your rooms is public.
