You get the day book, vouchers and trial balance you know from Tally, without re-keying anything. Everything the business records upstream (invoices, payments, expenses) lands in double-entry books you can drill from statement line to source document.
Your first day
- Open the Books hub: TB, P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow on one shared period.
- Walk the Day book: every voucher, chronologically, with J to start a journal anywhere.
- Import a bank statement: eleven Indian banks recognised automatically, suggestions per line.
Your rhythm
Daily: post journals, reconcile the bank, capture expense ITC. Weekly: AP/AR ageing, bill-wise references, credit and debit notes, cost-centre splits. Monthly: trial balance, GST prep, 2B reconciliation with IMS actions, TDS 26Q. Yearly: GSTR-9, FX revaluation, depreciation, the audit-trail export and the Tally handoff.
The checks that only pay off when they run every single time can run on a schedule. A scheduled agent reads the same books you do and leaves you a notification: Unreconciled bank lines that have gone a week without matching anything, a 2B mismatch digest naming the suppliers who have not filed what you booked, a TDS quarter watch on deducted against deposited, E-invoice failures caught while the invoice can still be cancelled and reissued. It reads and reports; posting the entry and filing the return stay yours.
